Is Google behind on adding links and SERPs updates?

I have been using my usual link building methods that have served me well for more than 3 years. Then in the last 4 months I have seen no changes for SERPs or # of backlinks reported for either old or new websites.

    Anyone know anything?

That's very strange. It must be just you because I can see the number of backlinks increasing all the time.
Are you sure everything is OK with your Google Webmaster Tools account? Did you check in Yahoo?

My links go into holding patterns where they stay the same for a couple of months but then they will jump sharply, so maybe same as you ?

    Try this link checker: http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/

I'd been wondering the same thing myself and kept looking at back link watch and it said I had less than half that what the seopro site says.

They may be divided between Google and Yahoo! links too. Just today it finally updated for me anyway.
