Is Google API free or can I also pay to use it?

    Hi,

I know that with the Google API you can have around 1,000 or so queries on it and then it can no longer be used untill the next day or something. So in other words you get around 1,000 queries out of it per 24 hour period.

Now I am just wondering if there is an option so that you pay for any extra query. Something like $0.00015 per query or something as I want to build a meta search engine on my site using googles results and I could end up getting over 100,000 or more queries a day and I don't want to signup to more API user accounts just incase I may go over.

Is there an option where you can pay. Also am I write in saying the Adsense can be used on it as prevously in adsense's TOS they stated that Adsense can now be used on search results / search pages.

Seems like they don't let you get your API key any more, no?

Google has discontinued their soap search API. Even if you want to pay for it you can't get it anymore. U may try to consider their AJAX API which is not limited, but u will help to promote google coz they have the words "Powered by Google" near the search bar which u can't get rid of.
