My google analytics differs greatly compared to my wordpress stats, is this happening to anyone else? Please reply.
There are many different sources for web analytics. You can set up free Google Analytics on your site, you might get analytics from your website or blog host, and you might have paid for an advanced analytics tool.
for exact results, review the raw logs of your website. Only raw logs are the exact numbers. No other tool give you exact numbers, not even wordpress or any other analytics P.S. Raw logs also includes visits of search engine bots and other tools' bots as well.
Dionne , One of the trusted analytics is Google analytics. But when you open again and again same url sometimes it may counted twice in google analytics or it shows data from diffrent servers so we cann't say its accurate but also we cann't say it fake
Undoubtedly within the free analytics tools, Google Analytics is the most reliable one. But, if we want to get more acquainted with behavioral activities of the users along with other useful metrics and dimensions , then Omniture is the best but it is not the free one.
Yes the analytic will be able to guide in taking the better decisions and one cool thing that is offered by the Google analytic is simplicity in the features.
Depends... on a site with 1000 or less users a day it is not very accurate. On a site with 10,000 users a day it is much more accurate and useful. On a site with 100,000+ users a day it is pretty darn accurate.
The same problem persist with me.... Try putting the analytics script at the header of ur page as it will load first ...i saw a difference when i did it
Each and every traffic analytics tools have there own algo and criteria to measure visitors. And for SEO's (and for free) GA is best to analyze website traffic and visitors behaviors. If you analyze the GA data you will get each and almost every thing in it.
