    Hai Friends,

I have website and i get traffic from twitter.
When ever I tweet i get nearly 500 visitors to my site.
But in my GA data shows that I have got only 11 visits from twitter.
    Why is this difference??

    Thank you.

Where are you getting the data that says you have 500 visitors?
If your GA is installed correctly, then it is accurately reporting pageviews, and other metrics calculated from that.
Other tracking systems are often recording hits to the server, which includes a lot of bots. Content posted on twitter gets a lot of hits from bots.

I think Google Analytics takes precedence over other sources for traffic information.

You are probably not interpreting your other traffic source information correctly.

How can you be so sure you are getting 500 visitors?

You probably are getting only 11.

Google analytics have feature that if traffic source is coming from one source then it do not increase the unique visitors of your site. SO to check this check referring traffic source of site.

I think to website needs to load fully in the users web browser to start counting. I have heard that javascript tracking software counts when the browser is done loading. I had questions about the time the user was on the my site because if this issue. My guess is that twitter traffic has a high bounce rate and this could be why analytics is not counting some users. It could be bots that are increasing hits on you server log.

Definitely google analytics is a good tool in terms of checking your sites hits per day. And it's the known tools used by most internet marketers in tracking their sites. Are you using some other tracking tools aside from google analytics? If that's so, can I know what tool is that so that I could make a review of the tool you're using now aside from GA? If it's ok with you? Because as far as I know google analytics are providing an accurate reports.

I think you should try latest analytics code of google that is called asynchronous. One thing more if a user has disabled javascript than google analytic's won't be able to count that source hit.

I have used different analytics tools also but can say Google Analytics is the best and provide accurate data. I don't thought there is an issue of JS Disabled as Twitter also use JS. For more accurate information check it by yourself using any other statics like snurl to tweet. Snurl show you the number of visitors came on your website through snurl link, then compare it with Google analytics data.
