Is Google analytics code for all subdomains work automatically for all subdomains if the code is only pasted inside the body or the footer used on our main site?

Like example: If I placed that code inside digitalpoint and not pasted it inside forums.digital point. Is analytics show me the variations for both of the domains?

No, you have to place tracking code on each page/subpage body which is supposed to be tracked and moreover for sub-domains support each code must have specified subdomain in script block (sample you have on google analytics page where from you copy your tracking code)

There is customized code that you need to add across all pages you need to track, based on whether you are tracking across pages within a domain, sub domains, multiple domains or multiple domain with subdomains. Earlier, one had to add customized code manually, but now Google provides the code at the time of set up based on your preference, ie, if you are tracking across a single domain or subdomain or multiple domains. So all you need to do is copy and paste across the pages as per the instructions provided.
