Google Analytics may not be perfect but at least it has an actual counter on your page...those other service are just guessing based on other factors and are definitely less accurate.

I use analytics as well as stat counter and although the numbers are different they are in the same general range.

I find Google Analytics very useful for fast, integrated and free keyword tracking and split testing. But the other posters are correct, there is often an obnoxious delay in the stats updating. For unique visitor numbers and so forth, I prefer the humble yet reliable AWstats, which comes free with most hosting plans.

I don't trust it really, webalizer and awstats gives me around 50,000 - 80,000 page views a day, around 15,000 visitors a day, while Google Analytics tells me around 700 visitors a day.

I have found analytics very accurate. This is working with stat counter comparing it with analytics. One thing I would like to bring up is most counters count page views instead of visits while analytics focuses more on unique views. Anyway they are very accurate if you want to know how many unique visitors you get then GA is the way to go.

yea i am using GA tool and i can say its not 100% accurate but is the best compared to other tool. You must have not accurately installed it or maybe the code of GA does not exist in your inner pages.

Try to get GA code installed in very page of your site for accurate results.

    Regards
