    Hi,

If you are using "Google AdWords: Keyword Tool", you can share your experience if its results and obvious traffic here.

I am using Google tool to keyword research, but ever thought and compared the results with previous sheets.

But, before 3 days i did a keywords research and selected some keywords believing Google results. Today i checked again, it is showing 1000 visits. I am surprised. I never thought that Google giving fake results. But, i believe now with my experience.

    :( Google.

    I agree with you,

Google does not pay much attention on its free services it seems.
Google gives bad results if you use Google analytics for your sites.

Its misleading almost every time i wonder y google isnt payin attention to all this stuff.

Google is too busy making web browsers and cell phones to care about a simple keyword research tool. There may be some alterior motive to not giving away their exact stats. Perhaps they just don't want their competition to have this info.

It is still a decent way to compare keywords. Don't rely on any of the numbers being completely accurate. It still helps you decide which keyword will likely give you more traffic.

The key thing to remember with the free keyword tool is the fact that it's targeted for adsense. The tool doesn't truly measure the number of searches done in a month in Google itself, but actually the number of searches done in a month across the adwords network. I use to manage PPC for a mid-sized company and know this for a fact (we spent enough money in adwords each and every month to warrant our own assigned rep from Google.). So when the keyword tool returns a broad match of 8800 searches per month, it's an estimate based on the number of times that particular keyword phrase was searched across the adwords network. Ranking number 1 in Google for that particular keyword doesn't mean you will automatically get at least 8,800 visitors per month from that keyword.

    The answer is yes.

The most powerful keyword research tools also use it.
