Is Google Adsense too Volatile?

Ive decided to make a move from Adsense.
Ive made money here and there with it but theres lots of work required to get a good ROI.

I apreciate that over the while Im here Ive seen lots of guys who put a lot of work in and with gradually increasing return.

The kind of sites I develop are more "1 hit wonders" in the sense that they are built to please SE and a user may only click ads then move on. Im having more and more success with Affiliate Marketing and Blog Post Writing. ( Smorty for example..)

Ive discovered ways to make a few dollars easier and quicker and believe that more and more of us should stop driving traffic to Google Advertisers and give them a mini kick in the ass..

I know they wont care but anyway Ive stopped working with it and am removing it from my sites gradually over the next few days...

    Any thoughts apreciated..

My thoughts is that there's a shitload of people who think AdSense is the only program out there. I was planning on blogging about this because it frustrates the hell out me.

We get threads here about people who have high traffic sites and are making crap with AdSense... so try something else. I've already monetized using other programs such as AdBrite and ExoClick. Some just do better on other sites, while AdSense can underperform. There's just a misconception that AdSense is #1... they might be in general, but for your specific site there might be better ways to make money.

I hate the way people walk on pins and needles afraid to sneeze because they think they might get banned by google. I recommend that everyone apply to as many programs as possible so that its not the end of the world if one company does not end up paying you.

Nah, adsense will always reign supreme. That's what 95% of this forum is all about.
