Hi I just want to ask quick question, is Goarticles a do follow article directory? I have been submitting articles there since december 2008 but there aren't any backlink from Goarticles, while from other articles directory the back link can be seen in backlinkwatch such as ezine or articledashboard. Anybody know about this? So I know if I should keep submitting articles in Go articles or find other article submission. Thanks in advance.
I just checked. It is dofollow. One of the author gives his twitter id and website. Both links are dofollow. Submitting to nofollow article directory will help you in other search engine. Yahoo lists nofollow in their search results. So, don't worry about it if you couldn't find in google.
Yes Goarticles.com has the dofollow tag. Keep an eye out for www.searchwarp.com and www.articlesbase.com which are nofollow. I can still see benefits in submitting to "nofollow" article directories though, it's your choice.
it is dofollow although submitting to other directories is also good to get good visibility and traffic. Also I agree if Google cannot find so what there are others also........
Goarticles is DOFOLLOW but the backlinks are not getting reflected either on yahoo or google. Any reason why they are not showing up?
you should install a seo tool quirk searchstatus on your firefox and enable the option to highlight nowollow links. That way a post like this won't be necessary any more.
Check whether the page has been indexed by Google or not. Try bookmarking the page. Also all links don't show up in Google search, look for the link in your webmaster tools account.
Just a quick update on the dofollow article directories. Here's a list of the ones that have a dofollow backlink: - Ezine Articles (only bio is dofollow) - Squidoo dofollow (only when the lens ranks high enough, the links become dofollow) - Hubpages dofollow if you're score is high enough - Tumbler - Weebly - Associated Content - Goarticles dofollow
I dont see any link from Goarticles too. It is ironic that I see the backlinks from those who request my articles and upload to their websites.
Even if the are not showing up, it would be nice to know if they are been taking into account by google. If they matter for my sERPS, because if they do I don`t really care if they would ever show up or not. Anyone has knowedge about this?
I think GoArticles has now become NoFollow, at least I checked all my old articles and the links have been changed. Such a shame because it was a good site to use for easy backlinks.
I stand corrected. What happened with GoArticles was this: They used to be dofollow on all page links, so you could add links within the body of the article and they'd be dofollow (and more likely to be clicked). As a result, almost nobody filled out the "author bio" at the bottom because it was pushed all the way down the page. What I just noticed (thanks to this thread) was that they've changed their standards... now any links in the body of the article are no-follow, but the links in the author section are do-follow. I'm really glad I noticed this because I had about a dozen articles from last year where all the links were in the body. I just went in and moved them down to the author box. Thanks to all on this thread!!
