The reason I ask this question is that I am be bombarded with emails from go-daddy to check my accounts as there are several "Critical Errors", but when I check them they are only refering to sites hosted else where other than go-daddy - is this is scam for me to buy their services? Or is it a way for them to make extra money or are they that desperate for cash (going out of business) they are using these tactics? Or are they trying to boobst their bottom line to make their figures look god just before a sale? Let me know your thoughts.
Everything ok with godaddy.com at my side, looks like someone else is trying to fish you by sending bogus emails looking to be from godaddy so that you will part with the personal details.
Yes, sounds like a phishing scheme. GoDaddy is facing new low-cost domain competition, but I really doubt they are suffering.
GoDaddy is one of the Top registrars and going nowhere but up in my honest opinion. If all else fails call the GoDaddy 24/7 phone support to clarify.
GoDaddy has always marketed their services VERY Aggressively. Marketing your business is not a "Scam". It's just good business, and it's what we all should be doing as well. Just My 2 Cents.... Ira
