is gmail working for you

    Hi,
    Is gmail working with pop3 for you?
    I re-installed windows yesterday and since then I'm not able to access gmail with pop3 (outlook)
    Error I get is that my username/password is rejected.

    Can you please confirm that pop3 is working with google.
    I tried pinging pop.gmail.com and I get a "request timed out" message there as well.

    I clear 3 pop3 accounts through gmail. All working fine.

    It's a web service too so the machine you access through shouldn't matter.

    Gmail with pop3 is working great for me, I just opened it through my Iphone, Microsoft Outlook on this PC and Mozilla Thunderbird as well to double check that it works and it is.

    Are you sure that you have the setting right in your e-mail client?

    No problems with the POP3 service for me over the past few days, and looking at Google's blog I don't see any POP3 service outage reports posted anytime in the past few weeks.

    Usually people set up gmail as an IMAP, not pop3 if that helps. You can configure your Outlook right in your Gmail settings.
