IME, this happens from time to time with all the Google projects, except search. I even tried the new Google finance beta today and generated an error on my first attemtp to use the page's search function. It worked fine a few minutes later. I downloaded something which keeps me logged onto Gmail. Every day there are numerous messages warning me that the connection was lost and it could not log in. I would not worry. Billion dollar companies do not need be up and running all the time. They have alrady made it.
I've been trying to log in to gmail 4 times during the last 3-4 hrs, getting this.. Hope it'll be ok soon..
I received my mail on Outlook, everything ok with that, I had to check my spam folder that's why trying to sign in from browser.. server error
Gmail is up and running here too (in India), but yeah i do get that scary message sometimes. Rubie try common bug busting tasks like clearing cache, restarting browser, refreshing pages, restarting your pc, reconnecting to your internet connection, sometimes that helps me

Sounds like you never had to actually take a letter to the Post Office and wait a few *WEEKS or a Month* until you got a reply... Read a Book or Take a Walk, everything will be fine... It usually is... If your *Business Totally Depends on Email*, then find some Alternative Backups, Like the *Phone*...
