You should ask him how is he making $30 / day? Do people play games or buy from him, google adsense or affiliate commission?
And how is he generating the traffic?

Do some research before buying anything.

I wrote an article about how to create your own game portal. It can help you get started for free.

I would also like to remind that you don't necessarily have to build your own gaming website. You can also start publishing games by others (here are some sales numbers about how much individual games have made - some of them are in the $100,000 range.

Forget adsense for arcade sites. If you have the traffic you can monetize with affiliate marketing using shareware games.

Personally I believe you can live of the income from practically most niches if you put some work into it. Arcade sites can also make big money if you put the work into it and know enough about marketing and monetizing different niche sites.

Don't forget that Adsense is used by many, but that's only because it seems to be the easiest to implement onto a site. There are more and better ways to earn from some niches than Adsense. It just needs some trial and error work done on the monetizing. That's why so many people that think having 100 sites do so badly is because they don't have the time to work on each sites monetizing properly. So each of their sites that make $10 each could really be making $50+ each with the same amount of traffic.

I have a high traffic gaming website. It makes decent money but would be a goldmine in any other niche. I am smart priced with adsense at between .04 and .08 cents a click. I get a very high CTR however, seems gamers like to click on things about their game of choice. I also recently added affiliate and it is doing decent, free affiliates. i.e. they pay me about $1 per sign up to some specific game related cheating forum, this helped a bunch.

Who is this guy and what is the site? I'd buy it just to redirect the traffic. I'm getting around 1800 uniques per day on my arcade site at the moment.

I have a niche gaming site (RPG blog) and I don't earn much money though I get many visits and good CTR because advertisers bid too low.

The gaming niche is highly competitive and unless you have a real strategy you cannot survive.

    1. Choose how your going to monetize the site
    2. A gaming site should always have a community around it to be successfull.

Do not trust what income the site makes currently, just go down and look at the site and think for yourseld "Whether if you were a user you would come back to a site like this".
If the answer to your question is "yes" then there's nothing wrong in purchasing the site.

i made around 20$ a day from flash game site. BUT that comes with a cost: in the earlier years, I have spent like 10k just to buy inbound link for competitive keyword.

so ya, it can make money BUT u gotta spend money first to get your site listed on top of the comptetitive keywords. Otherwiuse, it's useless.
