What is it about Google that makes everyone so paranoid? Why not be paranoid about MSN for a change?

I get plenty of traffic from MSN. Even more so since I joined the Coop.

I agree. MSN and Yahoo can be a powerful combination

I get just as much traffic from a top msn+yahoo position as I do from a top google position

So as long as you rank in 2 out fo 3 screw the third

I'm a bit on the cautious side, however I don't worry about getting banned by Google.

Google is kinda like Big Brother. They know about you via toolbar, pagerank lookup, search queries, adsense sites, automated programs making queries, whois info... geez... it's ridiculous how much they know about us.

If you have ever had a site get dropped by them you know the pain Goo can inflict. Especially when you think you had a good valid site that goes down the toliet for no apparent reason.

Odd thing is I have one g-banned site right now that is cleaning up on Yahoo with many thousands of pages indexed and tons of traffic - in fact adsense $ has been pouring in out of the blue for last 3 months - too bad Google banned that site about 8 mos ago...

That said, the same ranking on Google will bring more traffic than MSN and Yahoo. But it is good to know you can make a living off the other search engines.

Hopefully Goo will lose some market share and Yahoo and MSN will become more important.
