Is Fun a good niche or I should be more specific ?

Hey there ..
just got here to ask you people about my blog ..

I have my blog http://www.myfunmails.com .. its basically a blog related to collection of forwarded and interesting emails .. Its all about fun, photography, fashion, etc

.. I want to have good seo for it and I started searching over google but I have found people talking about targeted sites only ..

And after reading posts , I have decided to target a topic while remaining on the same blog

I want to ask that whether I can also earn a handsome amount from untargeted blog with multiple niches .. or should I switch over to a single topic only ?

Your advice about my blog are also welcome

 

If you are earning enough then you should keep the things going.

 

whats ENOUGH in ur opinion ?

 

multiple niche is good in my opinion, seo is not for targeted sites only ( usually, people use it on targeted sites )
seo is about doing keyword research and optimize your site "pages" according to the keyword target
usually people optimize their mainpage/homepage
you can SEO your blog posts(inner page) too, so it's ok for multiple niche

each people have different "enough"
if you think it is enough, then it's enough for you
if you think it is not enough, then it's not enough for you

No one can tell you that since we all live in different areas of the world. What is good money in Pakistan is not the same as good money in the U.S.
Good money is what ever you are happy with.

 

If your blog is doing well and profitable, just keep doing it. Then you can start a niche blog more specifically for an topic (say photography). You don't have to make dramatic changes to your existing blog. Play safe. That's my suggestion. =)

 

I want to tell you that, Please keep it up as it is.You can make every post specific for micro niche by optimizing it for strong and monetized keywords. Having a general blog in fun niche is a nice thing in blogging.

 

By default marketers say targeting helps better to attract your market/niche. Though I don't know if that applies to the fun niche. Perhaps just make it humorous and catchy, people like entertainment so I'd say it'll work either way even if you don't narrow it down

 

"Fun" is a good niche, however, you should be able to monetize it. Play your cards right! This niche, along with entertainment and technology, can do wonders.
