What has actually happened with Froogle? Is it still being used? I know the site is operational, but I've read some extremely negative articles in recent months.

Are you kidding? I have a ecommerce client that receives a good portion of their traffic from froogle. Where are these negative articles?

I have used Froogle for several months and the traffic i get from it is negligible, i really think it depends on what your selling though, I've not heard anything about them closing?

I have used froogle in 2004 and 2005...that time it was working good for several sites of my clients. Site were related to cloths... bridal gown and dress etc.

Now, I have my own books site. Will it work fine. I think let me try it and see myself.

    Thanks

Never really got anywhere with Froogle. To be honest didn't try very hard though, I didn't even know it was still around.

google base and froogle seems to be a haven for spammers and people selling pirated copyrighted materials. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Froogle drives about 5-10 customers a week to my site. I sell luxury bedding products, and focus on only about 10 sizes of about 8 different models so it is pretty negligible to say the least.

I haven't heard a negative news, or any news for that matter, regarding Froogle.
Do you have a link to the article?

people don't take froogle that seriously because it is free to list items.

but I have never heard anything about spammers or pirated stuff on there. however, there are alot of ebay stuff on their, sometimes being expired auctions :(

Yeah, forumGuru is right. I also have read notes like "Apparently Google is trying to position their video service into the mainstream spotlight as they toss the much more valued Froogle into the back seat." Seems it's not lie.

I set Froogle up for our online shop just over a year ago and it worked very well and brought in a lot of business, I know a lot of people still use for shopping.

Froogle has produced some free traffic for one of our online stores. It seems to work better for some products more than others.

I think that Froogle lost some of its pop when Google decided to remove the link from its home page.

Yes,maybe Google has to think about too much things to organize, and Froogle could be his Troy Horse,I mean a lot of work,a lot of energies spent and a too little feedback...
