Is forum posting is necessary to get taffic

Yahh forum post is very effective for traffic

 

yeah I forgot to add those stuff twitter, hubpage and facebook

 

Forums are a excellent way to get targeted traffic. Personally, I think forums are more targeted than a google search. We all know that niche markets hang out in forums and as the saying goes "birds of a feather flock together."

Find your market, help then with their problems (with out promoting your services), and they will appreciate you. When you answer questions in a specific way, users will be more inclined to visit your signature and buy your products or services.

The key is this, DONT BE PUSHY!

Everybody talking about the forum posting is a good technique to gain traffic and gain good pagerank but my question what is the funda behind this?

 

So according to you if I do only forum posting for any website it will come in the 1st page for his keywords and tags?

 

Forum posting is not necessary to get traffic but it can give you good source of targeted traffic.

In my opinion if you want to generate traffic then use Social bookmarking and press release.
Signature added forum post helps a lot to get visitors on your site.
Forum Posting also helps to get traffic but it mostly used for get the good quality Backlinks.
