chrome is by far the best for browsing firefox is by far the best for customization and things like seo, things like that
Try Opera SEOBAR. You want be dissapointed. You see PR of every page alexa rank, number of backlinks on major search engines, number of indexed pages on major search engines, and much more... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1047645 Also it is much faster then Firefox and IE678... http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html it is little bit old but things are same... It is skinable. You can make simple browser, simpler then Google Chrome or complicated one with many options... P.S. new alpha release of Opera 10 is passing ACID 3 test...
firefox is quicker than internet explorer but when you want to watch stuff it sometimes is slow and doesn't work!
I've used Opera and I still say FireFox rulezzz. Opera, like IE, is picky sometimes about JavaScript functioning correctly. Plus, I can't stand living without some of the great functionality that Firefox has like being able to middle click the back button to open the previous page in a new tab. Also, you can disable that annoying tab scroll in Firefox. I did it back when FF2 first implemented it using a tutorial on this one website: http://lifehacker.com/software/firefox-2/geek-to-live-top-firefox-2-config-tweaks-209941.php Anyways, Firefox is my browser of choice. Especially since it has the Firebug add-on. If you're a web designer/programmer, that add-on will be so useful for you.
Well, that's true. Opera is slow with javascript sites, but I still think that it is the best for average user. There are not many the javascripts sites. Some eshops etc., but still not many and if you are not showing 500 shop items than it is not that slow. Webdesigners and coders are different category. FireFox has a bunch of plugins for them unlike other browsers. H3llas: thanks a lot, it's new for me
Firefox is second most popular browser on the earth. Mostly because simple but advanced extension support! Of course, I use it too
had the same problem with FF...Chrome is that the best browser i ever used...clean, faster, great for people who enjoy watching videos online.
Firefox v2 was amazing. Since "upgrading" to version 3 I've been left thinking that the only reason I'm having to stick with it is because of the plugins I use for web design. It hangs if you leave pages open for too long. Even now I've got 8 browser tabs open. Even their FAQ documents online mention Firefox can crash if left open for too long.
They're called 'extensions' or 'add-ons'. Plugins are something else. I'm not aware of any well known web dev tools that don't work in FF3. As one who has FF open all day long with many tabs open, including web dev tools, I question that.
@drhowarddrfine... All my extensions bar two work in FF3 - not the issue - they're not aailable in other browsers. As for FF hanging - check their FAQ as it's documented in there. support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+hangs
Every program can hang; it's good that they actually document reasons that can cause it. That means nothing. Never hangs for me, then again I have a good computer. If you read that page, a lot of the causes for the hanging are due to certain computer components and programs interfering. @old games & abandonware: What do you mean not many sites use JavaScript? Tons of sites are finally making the upgrade to JS and AJAX. It's the way of the internet future.
every browser have their own set of unique features and security flaws, but for me FF is the first choice
Firefox is the best Internet browser on earth, because it allow us to customize with plugin we need. It also very stable
I find Firefox the best overall because the number of sites I regularly go to which it doesn't handle well is really very small indeed (and I use Opera for those). I agree that absolutely anything's better than IE - even getting disconnected from the internet is arguably better than IE.
