Mozilla is a non-profit, however I think there must be some anti-microsoft corporate support behind it. http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/
Who doesn't want to bring Microsoft down these days, really if you think about it Microsoft failed when it came to the internet.
yahoo is backing up FF heavily as well and vise versa. In fact, I thought Yahoo and FF are much closer than FF and google
Again, source? I have not heard that Google has given money to Mozilla for the development of Firefox or anything else for that matter.
google doesn't have people work on fiirefox, but a good part of what firefox makes does come from google. click on the big G next to the search box.firefox gets paid by those companies.
zodiac, windtalker, and WishBone, all three of you are wrong. There is no partnership between Google and Mozilla. Yes, there's the search box that uses Google by default, but that's just becuase it's the most poular search engine. Mozilla also makes money from Google because of ads displayed in the search results, and this works the same for everyone who uses the Google Search option. It's incorrect to assume these companies are partners based on the use of the Google Search Engine inside of Firefox.
I feel that google endorses the mozilla firefox because it is an open source. There may be some other factors too behind that (like suppressing IE owned by MSN)
