I believe he is, but he's getting old now, so there will be more competition with the new guys.

He has the records and the numbers to be the best ever. But what I like most is that he is a gentleman off the court. This is a real rarity in pro sport and something to be admired almost as much as what he can do on court.

No I don't feel he is the greatest.
He is No.1 today but now he is full of revenge and anger to gain his spot.
This wasn't in him before. He is a great player but not a great overall person now.
Sorry for his fans. No personal things.

Obviously Federer is great, but I think the competitors is not too tough in thes era (except Nadal of course). I would love to see him compete againts Sampras, Ivanisevic, Becker, McEroe or Edberg...

I love Federer and I think he has a chance of beating Sampras' record, which would make him the best tennis player ever!

He is an amazing player without a doubt. He seemed to really lose his edge in that 5th set of the Finals match though. Could we have a "passing of the guard" with him being beaten by the young 20 yr old Del Potro?

    Hmmm
