Is Fastclick kidding me?

I have a babe section on my site of women posing (not nude) mainly FHM/Maxim pictures and here's the response I got from them.

    Dear doug F,

Thanks for your response. The link we are referring to is on the main page.
It's entitles "babes". The content is too provocative for most of our
    advertisers.

    Regards,
    Darren

Wow you really seem to have a lot of difficulty getting into a banner program. What kind of numbers is this site of yours averaging? That may be the reason why they're picky about you...

    3,000 - 4,000 Unique Hits a month.
    300-500 Unique Hits a day

I meet all the requirements for 9/10ths of the programs I sign up for.

Are these pictures you own the rights to publish?

Okay, that's definitely the problem. Fastclick alone requires 1000 uniques A DAY. That's PER DAY. (Why did you say you met their requirements? You don't, at least the last time I signed up, about 4 years ago.) TF demands more than that, and others as well.

So 4k/month is the primary reason they're being so hard on you. You need to spend more time getting traffic instead of wasting all your energy trying to get into a CPM program. Even if you got into one, it wouldn't pay the bills, because 4k/month is nothing when it comes to CPM money.

Jack is right, at 4k visitors a month it's unlikely you'll earn more than one or two dollar a month with these CPM programs.

I did no response they're pissing me off. I'm going back to google. I've been noticing more money per click, averaging .30 - .40 cents per click.

    Sigh.

I'm just telling you the truth, no matter what they are telling their potential applicants (My guess is that they're low-balling the number, so potential applicants don't overhype their numbers, because let's face it, EVERYONE lies about their numbers). The truth is they only take sites with 1k uniques/day.

But you can accept it or not. It's your dime.
