Hi Is fast link building is harmful. How I can know what speed of linking building I should adopte. Is there any standard or restriction ?
I recommend that you actively build at least 250 and not more than 750 unique inbound links. If your niche is very competitive by all means build more links, but avoid actively building more than 1,500 links. You can have too many links. There are several examples of what I call “superoveroptimized†sites that have fallen back through the rankings.
if you build a couple of links a day it will fly under radar...and is best for long term seo success.
Search Engine operates on the real world phenomena. If you are new in a town & overnight you become popular its only by two ways. One by doing a crime or else by spending a huge amount of money. Both of the options are not invited by Search engines. So a good number of links would be around 200 per month
This is all true, however, the search engines do not penalize sites which contain news stories that just happened and garner a huge amount of links in a short time. Therefore they must have some way of looking not only at the speed of link acquisition, but the type of content that is being linked to, and the quality of the domains doing the linking, to make sure that some forms of rapid link acquisition are not penalized. For marketers, the best bet is to presume that you won't be treated like a news story, and make your link acquisition look like the natural addition of links via the editorial process of other sites liking your content and finding it worthy to link to. I think 200 links a month might be pushing it, I'd keep it 5 or less per day (150 per month). Unfortunately there's no definitely industry standard for what is under the radar (and the SEs certainly don't want anyone to have one either).
Fast linking is harmful if your site is newly indexed at google. Once you have passed 6-12 months you can start building links freely.
it is, I did a test recently, added tens of thousands of links to a site that didn't have that many and it dropped from all the serps within a week. Who knows though maybe it'll rank higher once it's back there.
Its probably more on the type of links rather than the number. Usually if a site became famous overnight a lot of people blog about it, news sites mention it etc. On the other hand if those new links are forum blasters, blog spammers etc then it might raise suspicion
I haven't seen any evidence to say fast link building is harmful. But if you get 1 million links from heavily spammed sites, you might have an issue.
If building links fast would cause a website to rank bad in the SERP, then I'm sure a lot of people are using this method for their competitors.
No body can build million quality links within day. Quality links have value otherwise you can collect million links within one day, that will heart you, nothing else.
Fast link building isnt harmful, just make sure you don't burn out and stop building links after a week. Keep it up and you will notice a rise in ranking.
I don't recommend you to build backlinks very fast unless your website is publishing many many fresh unique content. Any unnatural links will get devalued by Google and our hard work on it will become useless. Better always go with slow link building.
Keep it looking 'real'. If you add tens of thousands of links per day, you'll attract attention. And any human visits to your site from search engine staff may not have the effect you wanted.
