how much advertising can i get out of facebook? or do i need a better online strategy to promote my service/product? thanks!
Do you have a website too? A website is still an important component of marketing even with all of the free social media tools available.
Facebook works well but for best results you need to combine it with Twitter, Linkedin, and Google Plus. Make your presence known everywhere.
All the Social Media are powerful - Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ etc People are claiming they make Awesome money just from SM but I treat them more like a supplement to all the other stuff that I do! Definitely I'd invest in a website/blog if you still don't have it and focused on SEO. Good luck Art
I guess it depends on your exact business. I haven't gotten much traffic from Facebook. I think Twitter and LinkedIn are better than Facebook. Reddit and Stumbleupon for promoting blog posts.
The best way to test anything is to do everything at once, see what converts the best then stick to that method.
Facebook is definitely enough. It's a matter of your return on investment though? If you can spend $10 and make $10, you're in the money right? Focus on getting a return on investment. Focus on quality over quantity. If you're spending $5 and making $10, you can upscale indefinitely right? Focus on that first.
I have read an interesting article on this topic Title: Why You Should Use Facebook Page Post Ads URL: www.jonloomer.com/2012/05/14/facebook-page-post-ads/
In my opinion, facebook alone is not enough, even if you're doing paid advertising. But if you combine them with other traffic generation systems, it should work pretty well for you. Just make sure that you make a consistent effort to do promotion. Also, a website will help a lot. It will not only make your product look more credible but also more professional and trustworthy. So make sure you invest in having a website built for it as well.
SEO is avery good promotion strategy indeed. It's very beneficial not only for the short term but even for long term.
I think if you are looking for better ROI (Return Of Investment) and inexpensive advertisement then Facebook is a better option. I worked for several organisation and helped in lead generation part. In return, when I compared it with Adword, Facebook is quite cheaper and having better ROI. Mostly it depend how you targeting your audience and what value you providing with your product and services. And if you combine it with other social networking site like Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and Google+, it multiply your ROI.
You should really diversify your traffic sources because if one falls from under you, you lose traffic when means you lose income.
