The thing is that i noticed they dont allow more that 3 keywords in 1 anchor text. this rule pretty much closing the option to hit long tail keywords for the review pages. i have one review page ranked on the 1st page of google, so this might be the end of it and it also not good from their side because after all their articles wont rank for long tail words and tehy will also lose traffic.
Yeh because of that it's probably not the best place anymore for long tail as they only allow three words, but they do allow 2 outgoing links still, I think as long as they are in the resource box, or at least "below the fold". It is a good move for them though, I imagine they were getting all sorts of spammy looking links, totally disjointed, non sensical keyword stuffing basically, and I think this will raise the quality level of articles.. and this is better for you too no? - you articles should get more exposure if you stick to the guidelines and are not competing with 2x as many spammy posts...
Im sure all other directories allow longer tail, but the problem with articlebase is that the links are NOfollow - you will get clicks from them but no seo benefit, basically posting your article there won't help you rank for your keywords in the search engines
ezine allows 3 word links if your article body is below 400 words (so between 250 and 400) and 5 words in your link if your article body is above 400 words, not going over 5k words (as if anyone writes that much). Hope that helps, see editor guidelines for your own proof, just ctrl + f "400" and yo'll get to the bit soon enough.
We can't neglect this that ezine is the best place for submission it doesn't matter that the keyword is long or short but the main thing is your page rank..
well i still need to use eza along with the other directories because onlu wza and article base can be rank on the first page, at least for me the other articles directories couldnt rank that high.
