I am considering using a opt-in email list provider, to do a email marketing campaign. I've found a lot of my good email ends up in my junk email folder. I am concerned that this will occur when doing a email marketing campaign. The affiliate product I'm marketing has good conversions when people visit the site. However, if they never see the email, they won't be able to visit the site. Is email marketing dead? Does anyone else use it besides scammers? Thank you for any wisdom you might have.
Opt in email lists are still a good source for getting peoples eyes on a product but as you said it is possible that it will be considered spam. If the price is right try it once and see what kind of return you get on it. Track everything
If done correctly expect from our experience around about 20% of your opt-in emails to be opened, and you will get lots of positive conversions from each batch that you send, best days from sending in the States for over 3 years are to send out on Tuesday or Thursday for good response and feedback
I have an entire website based on email marketing and i sell it with 30 cents cpm(only for clicks made) so 0.0003 cent per click
depends how many people you are sending the email to and if the people have the email sender on a non ban list i think sending emails to 160k + people for say 25 bucks is a very good deal some of my affiliates have going... i have tested it on my own sites and got around 10k uniques so i would say it does work...better then myspace bulletin advertising imo...
Email marketing works, especially if you build your own list using legetitamte strategies. You can expect some bounce backs in every mail out and you need to manage that. I get about 10-20 new email signups per day. My last email mail out generated about $12K in a 3 day span (still trickling in after a week) for the sale of hard goods.
Id not say that email marketing is dead, still much life left in it i gues, but RSS is definately changing the way things are done in that department, the good of RSS is that you know their interested as they choose to subscribe and check whats new in their newsreader and the info can be very up to date, hourly if they want.
I would make sure that any list you use is on target and from a professional source. The better route to go is to build your own list properly and advertise in newsletters that are on target and have a reader rapport. Emailing marketing, the professional way, works all day and night. Why not build your own newsletter and start connecting with readers?
email marketing is sending emails to a list of individuals that have requested to recieve email correspondece/information from you. SPAM is sending email to people who have not requested to recieve information from you
I have another question can you send the emails to the users of your site A marketing your site B they do not anything about yet?
As part of a correspondence for site A material you may include an endorsement of site B but you should really not mix both sites emails- it okay to cross reference but do it sparingly
