Is E-Gold worth it?

I have a paypal account and it is verified and the such, but is it worth having an e-gold account? Should I just stick to keeping my paypal or should I maybe think of getting an e-gold account as well?

 

If you deal mostly with paypal then I would say no need of an egold account. But since egold is also reputable payment processor so it is good to have an account and it is simple (no verification process like paypal and other payment processors).
Generally a person should have accounts of major payment processors. just my 2 cents.

 

I would recomend to have allso an e-gold account. Think to the people from DP that dont have a paypal account becouse their country is not an accepted country. What quick buy/sell method could they use?

 

Agreed! I personally have three payment processor accounts. Money bookers, egold and paypal. I prefer egold because it is safe (Specially for me).

 

Then I suppose I should set up an egold account. Might be useful in the future.

 

I have an eGold accoung since four years to day now.

No idea how to fund it, but it's always good offer this as payment option because at some point you may find people cannot pay you via Paypal, Stormpay, Moneybookers, or any other.

E-gold is the most best way to get paid or pay to anyone. Cash = E-gold. No chargebacks, no credit cards... You can fund or cashout your e-gold thru 3rd party exchangers(such as: www.londongoldexchange.com , www.icegold.com) sure there is an official fund source also its www.omnipay.com and since you find a local exchanger, e-gold is the best payment processor. but i agree that scammers always prefer to use e-gold because you can't open a dispute or get your money back.

YEP! A person should have accounts with different payment processors. Not every one can pay with Paypal, MB, 2CO etc.

I signed up for an account ages ago but never used it.
Just depends on your clients,some people may need to pay you via e-gold,you can get an account,it just takes you a few secs to get one

 

I never had a need to sign up with anything other than paypal, at least so far...
