Is Duplicate Content Better Than No New Content?

Hi there,

On one of the pages of my website I haven't really added any new content for a few months. I was just wondering, is it better if I was to upload articles related to my sites content to my webpage? I know this will be seen as duplicate content, but I'm just wondering if this will be better then no new content (in the eyes of google etc).

Dup content is ok if you modify the H1, H2 and rewrite the <p>'s. Cut it on short 2-3 sentences paragraphs.

I'd say that no content is bad but dup content is even worse since you're not going to rank for new dups if you don't have pr4+.

Right. You've got to at least modify that content. Dup content is penalized, no content is not, although no content will likely lead to lower search engine rankings due to lack of fresh material and diminishing backlinks over time.

 

If you spin the article nicely then it won't be considered as Dup. content by Search Engines.
