is DP's keyword tracker correct

I checked few keywords in this tool available in DP is says that the keyword is searched about 180times/day and the yahoo overture think returned like over 3600 times last month but google adwords suggestion did not give any result.
i am so confused.

 

180x30=5400 and 3600 are fairly close
Which checker did you use on DP? Wordtracker or OVT?

Ok good. While a great tool, its never completely accurate (or any search term checker), but it can give you a pretty good idea on some certain keywords.

 

They're pretty much correct. But not always.

But certainly a very good tool.

 

I thought the stats were wrong until I realized that my google results page is including nested links from the same site. So if your site is ranked 4th then look through the results and count all nested links under a result as 1 result.

So:

1) Google Result #1
[description]
2) >>>>>Google Result #2
>>>>>>[description]
3) Some Result
4) Another Result
5) Your Link

Basically ignore #2 because its still the same result as #1, I hope that makes sense.

 

Currently my site is ranked #7 in google for 'gas heaters' but yet via Ranking Tool it says N/A, why is that?

 

might be due to a different datacenter in your city and the one you checked

 

ok i can understand what you are saying and maybe the search result being off by a couple, but we are getting about 25-30 people a day who search that coming to our site so that obviously tells us we are probably on the front page of most of the .com google search. But a different datacenter could have it not even in the top 200 and show up as N/A?

 

Are we talking about Keyword Tracker or Ranking Tool.
