Thank you Nick. Like it says .. On all three forums not even ONE bad trader rating.. I wonder how many bad trader ratings a company like GoD**** would have if they were a forum member..

Let people post once warning that the person may be a scammer and then let the buyer decide whether or not they want too purchase.

Okay i'm probably going to get flamed like mad now but isn't posting reports on scammers a good thing...letting you know that you should stay away from them.

How would you feel if Rob posted this and the idiot who Rob's tlaking about scammed your ass down to the ground...

I don't care...ahkip you idiot telling me to do research...learn proper English then i'll give you the right to tell me what to do.

To acknowledge the first post in the thread....

After getting scammed, I think it really helps you in a way in that you are a little more cautious w/ everything you do. Those who are more readily willing to buy into the 'copy' will more likely be scammed at some point, and will therefore have their eagerness to buy...slowed. Everyone on any forum needs to know that things that sound too good to be true, probably are. Some of us figure it out before actually having to experience it, while others learn the hard way.

With regards to DP becoming turning into 'chaos', I don't frequent these forums as often as many others, but from what I've seen, I believe that the honest people outweigh those who are not. You have to realize that this is a big forum, w/ over a thousand members on at any given time. You just learn to expect to have people who are willing to exploit the popularity with unethical intentions in mind. It's your job to keep your guard up, think, and apply the tools provided to help you come to a conclusion on who to do business with and who not to.

What I do miss from DP, however, is being able to click on 'New Posts' and having lists upon lists of threads that had so much information in them. I mean, the threads now just feel so.....stale. The solution to this gripe, however, could be the search function, and its a sufficient solution at that, but I just missed those times.

Nonetheless, I can't go on to say that DP is turning into chaos. There are simply too many honest business men/women here who keep that scale tipped in favor. Just be on alert and use your head when dealing with people, especially online....

We need to create a Scam Reporting Forum, just for DP members, where they can report such happenings and warn others!

DP should make a Team of people with there main job being sorting these people out and making sure there banned from the forums, before they strike again!

To those DP members that answered my original post and brought some interesting points to the table: thanks! I guess it's right to say, DP has definitely changed over the years, more users, more info, more transactions and yes unfortunately the one or other DP member getting scammed.

As many have pointed out in this thread, the person scammed, could have probably avoided it, by:

    a) doing some research on the other member
    b) being a bit more realistic (if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is)

Nevertheless, something like not allowing new members to post in the marketplace until they are at least 50-100 posts into the forum, perhaps could bring some of the scammers to a slowdown... Checking up on someones 50-100 posts once they offer something on the marketplace could then give a potential buyer some decent insight into that person's "online personality, attitude or behaviour"...

As for some of the other solutiosn proposed in the thread:

    1) create a scam reporting forum (DP Konvict)
    2) verify forum members with their cellphone (Dollar)
    3) more moderators scam reporters (DP Konvict)

Interesting but something like a scam reporting forum would probably be just full of flaming such as a few of the above posts. As for the cellphone verification that could be rather complex, especially considering the global reach of this forum, and having more moderators, again maybe somewhat time consuming..

WatchOut's very good tip: Remember, if you are purchasing something that is expensive - I am referring to premium sites and further things - ask for the sellers address, and a valid phone number; call him and see if the number is valid; cause if he is a serious seller he shouldn't have anything against giving out personal information.

    Keep on bringing your thoughts...

As for those abusing this thread for your own personal BS, take it somewhere else! What's with hijacking threads?

I has been scammed by bryandy, but no one admin or moderator investigate my reports.
Because bryandy told if never make transaction with me.
I just need admin or moderator check my inbox. and post in my thread if bryandy really make transaction with him. And not received any amount.
    Also banned him.

    DP forum allowed scammer?
I think moderator MUST ACTIVE to see what going on in this forum.
Not just say " just leave negative feedback to him".

Your financial transactions are not the responsibility of the mods of this forum. They are yours and yours alone.
