    I think too it is a backlink and dofollow, but im not sure if it helps or hurts more (backlink on DP sig)...
    Let's say im not sure if it is good to have backlink to your site in 'link sales' section on DP forum, whether it is on sig or in a post...
    Heard that google may hurt you.

    This is only my own suspicion and also thing i heard somewhere which is not confirmed, so my thoughts do not have much weight at all, just a thing to think or research :)

    I can not see these backlinks why?
    did you search your sig link on google or yahoo?
