Is DP owned by a single person?

If my girlfriend was my business partner, there's about a 101% chance I would be bankrupt by now. And all the money would have been spent on shoes.

 

Whoa, what a business you got. All by yourself. Yup, it's good to set it yourself and maintained it yourself.

 

Same here, I would never think of starting a business with anyone else except my wife. I guess you only know this if you’re married, with great woman that is.

 

How much does DP makes every month from adsense revenues.

If you need a guess, I'd say it should $100K/month judging by the traffic, but I'm afraid it's just $10K/month

 

Shawn said the other day that DP represents single figure % of his overall income. I think he said it was less than 5% (but don't hold me to it)

 

I don't think the webmaster crowd is very keen to click on ads, so I wouldn't expect the earning figure from adsense to be overly high.

 

I think this is very true. I would expect this forum to have fewer clicks than other forums with the same number of members. Heck, what do I know about forums anyway!!!

 

It will be better if the webmaster himself discloses the same..
If it is so less than how is this forum surviving.

 

Well there is a server fundraiser going on to buy a new server for DP. Clicks also bring in money. Either than that I really don’t know.

 

I heard him mention the name Bill Gates one time ... who is he ?

 

But still a forum like webmasterworld is making a lot of money by paid membership in comparison to that i wonder from money for DP is flowing. Anyway its a great asset for the owner and he has definately provided the world with most popular webmaster's forum.

 

Hard to believe, but some people do things because they want to. My rugby forum gets 1.5 million page views some months, but only last month I placed adsense on it, and ALL that money is goingt o buy rugby kits for kids rugby.

 

Well Done Shawn, One thing I noticed that I must compliment you on is that you stay active in your forum...

This speak loads about you because alot of times the owner leaves it just to the mods!

I have to second this, the fact that you yourself post here and that you're not uptight about doing something like telling all of us a slight estimate of how much you earn alone makes me wanna stick around.

 

Now I wonder if we could start working on some DP Joint Ventures Exclusive for DP members to promote to the web ... that would be awesome...

 

Good on ya Shawn. While my projects are nowhere near what youv'e created I too have been asked to get into partnerships, or have thought about it myself. And the reasons you stated are exactly why I haven't gotten into them.
