Is DP being left to die?

The community seems to be thriving...

 

DP will remain best forever.

It has some issues in current but will be resolved soon.

DP is about to lose it all, and eventually it'll be NB in the near future taking over

 

I find it amazing that a forum can revolve around someones life. Seriously. DP isn't going anywhere, and even if it was does that mean the world is going to come to an end? "DP is going to die" threads are posted almost monthly now.

 

i donn't wanna DP down... shawn must spend some time with forum management..

also forum must upgraded to latest one...

adsense ban doesnt means DP down..admin can easily change to another one..

Where do people get this stuff from? Just because Shawn hasn't posted for awhile and the forum software hasn't been updated to the latest and greatest, doesn't mean diddly squat!

I would venture tio say that he hadn't updated the script because of the other updates involved like the Mods and hacks, and the tools just to name a few.

As far as him not posting or commenting recently goes, he most likely has his plate full at the moment. Think about it? For instance, if that eBay lawsuit hasn't been settled yet, it may be that he cannot change things here or post due to a court assigned junction or his lawyer's advice.

What I'm saying is, there could be a number of reasons or factors that we aren't privy to know at the moment, and there is no point speculating or assuming. It creates more harm then good in the long run. If everyone loves DP like they claim, don't jump to any conclusions until you get the facts straight from the horses mouth!

Everyone should know by now just how deadly rumors can be right?

The best thing to do is to keep posting and using the forum for the purpose in which Shawn atarted it, and have fun doing it.

Heres my opinion on the matter.

It doesn't matter that the forum software hasn't been updated. Vbulletin 3.6.8 is great for this type of forum. However a bit more of an input from staff will be good.

I believe that DP and WF are nearing the end of their days. Nothing new is really being brought to the table. It is becoming too repetitive.

I agree with the idea that new webmaster forums are being made. Myself and a group of other expert internet marketers have already started with Gewgley.com hoping to rectify the great mistakes of such forums as DP and WF.

Its quite obvious that DP has become a free loaders site. There isn't really anything amazing going on. Myself and SnakeDoctor are trying to help the BST revive through selling our blackhat methods that we don't post on Gewgley as we are keeping it a Whitehat/Greyhat site. But there is only so much we can do.

With scammers looming around every corner. Free loaders spamming the forum. Useless posts. And Repetitve content. I think that DP might be nearing the end of its timespan.

Yes I agree with yo.They should do to avoid the DB issue.

 

The admins should come here as soon as possible, my account leonhang is hacked!

I wasn't addressing my comments to you personally. Matter of fact, I thought your comments were addressing simple questions, and good ones at that. In general, I was addressing the people in this thread who keep saying the forum is dying and so forth.

There's nothing worse for a community then posting negative gloom and doom threads about that community. It only breads more negativity.

If the people here truly care about DP, they will suck it up, and carry the forum thru the hard times. This includes helping to keep things upbeat. That's what community is about right?

The problems with my inbox really bug me, but I love everything else about DP. No need to change as far as I'm concerned.

I think one of the problems with the site is that staff here seem to get too involved personally. If they don't like what you are saying or your ideas, you get banned. It's too strict here. They say its for the best with such a big forum but with the way things are looking you have to wonder.

EVER? If DP never opened up in the early days it would not be as big as it is now by FAR. (example if it was to open last year)
Yes something in the future will replace it. It doesn't mean it will die but it will be competed with.
