Are downloading movies or watch movies online harmful for system?

 

I don't know about downloading I always watch movies online

and I don't think they can do anything to your system

it was always okay with me , no harm done

 

I am agree with Jossey. If you can see online then not to worry. But if you are downloading then you must aware from virus.

 

there is no need to worry about i think if you got antivirus installed on your pc

 

Depends on the sites really, but if you use a secure site and watch online there shouldn't be any harm.

 

downloading is .now days every single online website that offers free download put a tracking cookie in the downloading file. so be care full about download videos.but i think live streaming is ok

Actually it depends on the sites that you scroll on to...Generally watching movies doesnt harm but downloading may harm your system because without your knowledge the virus backs up your system..U need to have a good antivirus for it..

 

Be wise about where you are getting the movies from online. When in doubt... don't. I echo jemmerz.... ESPECIALLY be careful if you are on windows.

 

You must get activate your desktop antivirus solution in process of downloading! because mostly free or torrent server usually posses some kind of malwares and viruses

Whenever you watch movies online or download movies, the things that you need to take care of are- Quality, Speed and Safety. Make sure the website you choose to download offers you quality or not. When you download movies with poor quality, you may get lost in frustration as watching a movie with poor quality….. oh! Never. Please use secure site

 

Its not harmful but these sites can be easy targets for viral attacks. So be careful where you click.

depends on the movie site some of these new movie sites have bad malware built into the pages that might install that bullshit antivirus 2001 or some other crappy software that is actually a rootkit on your pc. I would be very careful on the site you visit to download / watch movies. also i would not use limewire to download movies (since some of the videos are encoded with malware now as well or tracking software).

 

I will say 50-50. There are few sites which can harm you system when you visit those sites. But if you visit reliable sites then it will not happen with you.
