Hi, What's your experience on domain forwarding? what are the pros and cons using that startegy.. can you give an alternative approach? Thanks!
I have a few articles on Ezine right now that I am testing with this strategy so far a goo amount of fews, a few clicks, but no sales. I will be making the domain a squeeze page soon as I believe email marketing and back end sales are the way to go.
I use domain forwarding for one affiliate training program on clickbank, marketing on facebook, works fine for me!
I have used it from a squidoo lens that was promoting one specific clickbank product. Only made a few sales so far. Conversion rate is 3%. Going to setup a real site on that domain and see if I can improve the conversion rate. Chris
Domain forwarding is ok, many places such as google adwords won't let you use affiliate links. What I do with my affiliate links is to cloak them using a cloaking tool.
You can have domain forwarded if you do not have an autoresponder to use. Writing articles with your url will help you send the visitor directly to the sales page.
I've used domain forwarding and i have never had a problem with it, you can always try a cloaker there are some free ones out there but i would recommend paid ones, but just my opinion.
I just learned how to do domain forwarding through cPanel 301 redirects for masking my clickbank hoplinks. Now I have the pretty URLs I wanted. Instead of those Clickbank hoplinks that show your affiliate id or those really long ones that mask the affiliate id but look like a squirrel did disco on your keyboard, I now have hoplinks that look like this: mysite.com/discount or mysite.com/order Love it!
I am implementing link masking with great success. I have like a dozen of cloaked links for v.competitive kwds at top serps
I use domain forwarding too and I'm doing alright for now. I use it for EZA, Adwords and Yahoo Answers
