Is Domain age important for PR calculation?

    I do believe that domain age is one of ranking factors for Google. But new sites can rank well if they're done properly.

    I have 6.3 years old domain but PR 1

    age seems a factor to me, i've a junk site on a 10 years old site and it's a PR3...

    I ran another tool to list the top 10 sites for my targeted keywords. The tool shows the site name together with the Age and PR: Here is my finding:
    - Most sites are PR 4 and above
    - Almost all sites were created in 2000 or earlier with only 1 exception (created 2004).

    Statistically speaking, Age is an important factor. But the other factors can override it.

    ** The site that I mentioned earlier in this thread is for sale. Someone is bidding it for $1200. It is a 10 yr.old site with a FAKE PR 4 (Actual PR is 0).
    Is a 10 yr.old worth that much?
