    Hi,

I have heard it is good if one of the targeted keyword is in the domain name, there is good chance to get ranked high for that keyword. Now if the site name is to be selecetd as "Dog training" and that site name is not available in .com and the others, can I select "caninetraining.com" as the site name? Does google consider those two to be entirely different or google takes the meaning to be same and considers those two sites are identical and so there is still a chance of getting ranked high?

    Thanks

Here is a google trick. Add this special character (~) at the start of the keyword in google search to see the google synonyms for that keyword.

    ~canine training

Look at the search results, the bolded keywords are the google synonyms. You can see dog training is bolded, so to answer your question, yes google views them as a similar keyword.

nope. canine and dog are two different terms for Google. you can still use the keyword "dog" and "canine" but it serves two different terms for Google. Test it by typing "dog training" in Google, and then "canine training" on another google. It will actually show different results since it is a different term.

That is correct, just like singular and plural keywords show different results. But considering it's a google synonym it definitely sees a relationship between the two keywords, and in terms of SEO, this is a good thing.

canine is used for dentists and people who work on teeth. the word does not only pertain to dogs.

I guess you can base it on the spelling, users type their keywords so results will depends on it. Mainly its not the same I think.

You should focus on both sets of keywords:

    Dog training
    Canine training

It may be easier to rank for canine training (less competition).
