Is DMOZ effective.

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me if registering at DMOZ this will affect fast on Google Ranking? How much up will my ranking go? 1, 2 ??

    Getting listed there is not bad! It is just another directory! Take it that way. ;)

    No way, dmoz is effective ? /me heads over to dmoz and submits my sites and my competitors sites to ban their sites from getting listed on dmoz(evil) again and again till they are forced to accept them :).

    The question should be " Is dmoz better than dir.yahoo " ...

    if DMOZ is only link to your website then it will have big effect, but if already have dozens of links I doubt there will be any difference, you'll get bigger effect if you add your link to signature on this forum and make hundreds of useless posts :D
