Thank you dear for your reply. Can you please tell me what are best way to promote a new site/blog for now. I mean name of the works such as once directory submission, blog commenting were useful.

In 99% of the cases, it is at best a waste of time. A worst, it can give your website a terrible link profile (which the search engines do notice).

 

You can promote it in your sig on DP. Twitter, Facebook have been essential for me. Grow your Twitter followers. If your site or blog qualifies for a business page, create one on Facebook.

For example, First of all, we have to do technical SEO in which you must optimize your site. In site optimization, it involves speed, security, indexed & crawling, Analytics tools, content optimization(on-page SEO), URLs & image optimization, Add meta keywords, meta tags, title, and description and also encourage social sharing. After that, you should promote your blog & website by using different methods like Email Marketing, Social Media Optimisation(SMO), Social Media Marketing, Blogger Outreach, Guest blogging, Blog Commenting etc.
Don’t try all of these ideas together. Pick one or two that you feel comfortable with and suit your niche. Then evaluate your results.

 

You should start from the very beginning, all you need to do is an overview of your website. Find out the problems first for your website, or in technical words find out the facts that make your website non-SEO friendly and after that try to resolve your issues or convert your website into an SEO friendly one, then you can start doing off-page activities like classified ads, sharing it on different bookmarking platform, in short, promote it, you will get a good promotion for website. Effective but you can't get much benefits from directory submission. If you spend the same time in other SEO tasks such as Profile backlinks, social media posting, guest blogging, forum posting, etc. then you can get more traffic and backlinks than directory submission. So spend time from where you get much benefits.

 

Any link building techniques are still working and still good. Except for those who are already deindex by google.

 

I think directory is submission still effective as sometimes when user is searching for some services or business, search engine do list some good directories in search result.

I notice they help but the directory matters. Directories used to be used more. Considered spammy now because how much traffic are you getting really. but if your getting traffic than its ok with google.
Nitch directories like blog directories do better and are regularly used to find blogs.
