Hi All, My question is to all US,UK,Australian or Canadian Seo,link builders present in this forum, Do you include Directory Submission in your Seo or link building package? If so,then how much is sufficient? Waiting for your answer Eric Wahlberg
Most of the "major" SEO firms do include directory submission. They often don't talk about it other than to tell others it's a bad idea.
The big question is on the quality of their lists. There are good directory lists and there are really bad ones that are auto approved.
and many SEO package said. they will do Ex: Submit to 1k Directory manually with 3 - 5 days or 7 - 10 days. for only 79$ to 150$<< is this possible? if me. make 100 submission a day. so that will 1k, that will so boring all days.
Good SEO firms today will only submit to what I call the A list of directories, long established with good editorial policies and a lot of cached pages.
The SEO package type you speak of is not performed by a real SEO firm. Links from 1000s of rubbish directories will do more harm to a site then good. Real SEO firms have a real budget to work with and know which directories are worth the money. No results based list is published anywhere as these SEO companies don't want to share what works for their clients with their competitors. The difference between a real SEO professional and most link builders is that a SEO professional cares about results and has goals to meet. Most directory link builders are cheap, happy submitting sites to thousands of worthless directories and could care less about the results or harm they do to the sites they are getting directory links for. In fact, most directory link builders have no skills, no understanding of the English language and are capable of only copying and pasting.
Yep, don't be confused by a directory just because it has high pagerank. What matters is the quality of the listings. A trained eye can spot this quickly. For example, search for things like flowers or viagra and see what you find in the directory.
I've always found it to be interesting, in reviewing paid submissions, how many of them suggest the most god-awful descriptions you could think of, often devoid of description or even relevant keywords. It's obvious these are not being submitted by the site owner, or anyone who cares about the site, and it's so sad that people are paying for this. Rather than removing some of the keywords, as I might have to do when a site owner submits his own site, I have to add some in order that the description would be descriptive. After all, a good description does contain relevant keywords, although not necessarily the ones that a webmaster might want.
Yes, Most of SEO companies use high page rank directories. They have good PA & DA & instant Approval directory list that's why they ranked website well .
My favorite submission from and SEO firm was the one where they spelled the company wrong. Not only were they submitting a site outside of my niche directory's topic, they didn't bother to spell the word "Australia" correctly - which was part of the company's name. I even took the time to contact the company and let them know what was happening. They never even bothered to acknowledge my note. Guess they were getting what they deserved. lol
Yes, Directory submissions are still included in SEO..., in my experience, around 200 quality directories are enough to get you moving. some companies will submit to 2000+ directories and hope they get a few quality ones from it. a good SEO company WILL have a large list of quality directories but will rotate that list as to not saturate it...., if you know what i mean.
Most of all the SEO services providers include Directory submission in SEO packages. But its approval is low so i would suggest to do 50 Directory submissions per month for a project.
