Is Directory Good way to increase Pagerank ??

    For backlinks yes, but not for link:sitename recognition, you need high pr sites before your link are considered worthy of a higher pr.

    Blogs or high pr (SEO)sites tend to get indexed quicker, thus that can only benefit your url.

    Thing is, nobody in the real world uses directories, they use downloaded search browsers add-ons.

    So your question, No it will not increase traffic but it will help pagerank.

    I agree with rekjl, I think directories are still good to build back links and raise PR but They don't send much traffic. Its also good to be listed in dmoz and yahoo Dir to gets your pages crawled and indexed faster. PR doesn't mean much these days I try to focus on good content rather then PR.
