    i dont really think you would invest so much on a directory if it was a hobby. even QBC members dont have it as a hobby, its just an alternative to mugging old people.

    webmastering is just a hobby but directoris is my primary love on the internet then i like running blogs

    Well i guess i am now in line to monetize and generate a healthy income from running web directories..

    Will be a while but i will definitely get there

    Some time ago i took the slightly scary decision to say goodbye to the mild security of a full time job and totally dedicate my time to my directories and a few other sites.

    Im an all or nothing type of person, i wouldn't recommend quitting your job if you have a mortgage and 3 kids but thankfully i dont have those yet and so shook off the psychological stranglehold that stops many people from making bold decisions.

    When your living life with less security it makes you work a bit harder depending on the type of person you are, there is no guarantee that i can become rich but i enjoy the challenge of trying to keep my head above water.

    My own advice: Dont be scared. :)

    I have spend around $800 in my dirs. And already get it back in 2 months. Also, I am earning from last 2 months.

    Actually DP has help me in that lot. Without DP... I am not sure if It could be possible.

    Poll results, 13.46% said that it's their main source of income. I think that it must be pretty difficult to earn $X,XXX monthly in this directory business, personally i'm happy with $XX, it's financing a low end server.
