Is Digg help to make a web traffic ?

I had been 2 times on the front page and I had 30K visitors + after 6 months I still getting traffic and many backlinks .
On the first day I had also my maximum adsense earnings but I thinkit depends on the subject

Digg is a place to social bookmark your site and get it indexed.

 

i install the digg plugin and put this code on my single.php

< ?php digg_this_button(); ?>

but all i can see in my blog now is the text and not the icon?am i doin it wrong??

Digg gets my sites indexed extremely quick.

I add my sites to the link page and then just digg everything and make friends.. It's definately made a difference, even if it is'nt targeted traffic.

Digg really didn't help much. In order to get traffic for my site all I did was post insightful comments on major blogs and give links so people could backtrack to mine...I got targeted readers...and some started clicking on my ads

 

I still submit every article to dig. It defiantly is a help.

 

I have a friend who is fairly powerful on Digg. He has reached the front page several times and with each front page submission he collected about 75-100k UVs. However, the users barely click ads.

 

According to me if you have interesting story than yes you may see a little boom in your site but for only few hours but yes if visitors like your content than you may get few more good readers . I read some where that if you submit data to digg than it helps to get indexed easily .

 

Digg is good for traffic if you're front paged, and its also great for search engine rankings - your site gets indexed incredibly fast.

 

I think if you are on fornt page you recieved big targeted traffic on the other hand if you don't on front page > it is only use to extract the page rank not give you targeted traffic because the diigger are mostly web master , developer e.t.c


So don't waste your time on digg too much !!

 

I think digg firstly helps in bring your site in cache.If you do as much as digg it will increase the traffic on your site but the quality of traffic may not be as good as it can be in link building.
