Is Digg.com Broken? (Case Study)

On Sunday I published an article on Digg.com and it got 12 Diggs. 24 hours later someone copied the post and put it on their blog, he then submitted it to Digg.com and got over 2700 Diggs and featured on the main page.

I am personally not really bothered! it was just a photo of some crazy guy and i noticed that he looked a lot like Beavis from beavis and Butthead.

I haev written a case study to hopefully find ways of improving the Digg.com system. Here is the full case study: 2nd Place is the first LOSER on Digg.com

the guy now links back to my original post, but after 2800 Diggs for his site and 12 for mine, does that really make much difference?

You may be correct Leo. Perhaps the Digg users with a good ranking should pay more attention to copied content?

I must stress that this is not an attack on the guy who used the content, I hope to be able to improve Digg.
