Hi, I have an articles directory where people can reprint the articles listed on my site if they include a line at the bottom of the article saying something like: " Article Source: http://articles.simplysearch4it.com/article/34414.html " Is doing that a good idea as I know deeplinking is good, but the site that uses the article will have the article on their site with my link to the exact same article. Will that benefit me or shall I just have. " Article Source: http://articles.simplysearch4it.com " which I first had on my site. I hope you get what I mean here. Thanks!
If we're talking about SEO, then yes, it will help getting a few links to each article on your site. The articles will gain more credibility as THE authority article (and not the duplicate one). If we're talking about for the User, well, it probably would be better to link right back to the main article section of your site, as their probably not going to want to click onto your site to see the exact same article.
