Is Credit Card necessary to start Paypal account?

    I always thought that a verified Paypal account was mandatory :s

    Yes of course .. you can ..but there are certain Limits.

    You can open a personal acct to begin with but you can upgrade soon ... (in fact as business payments incur charges in personal act also now so no sense in opening a personal acct now). Open a premium acct but before you verify yourself you will have certain limits to withdrawals and credit card payments etc. These you can lift by getting a CC and verifying thru it.

    You'll just need to link ur bank acct to PP acct in order to recieve payments in the bank.

    i'm pretty sure it varies by country. but unverified account has better chance of getting limited:(

    you can cashout with unverified accounts with a bunch of countries, but US can't send with unverified unless its credit card
