    It can be helpful for some but not everyone. But in general most of the companies do it

    at least there are a lot of peoples read your ad, and increase opportunities for people interested in and buy your products

    Yes they are helpful, only if you have configured your ad properly and targeted your audience.

    Not only do you need to configure it properly etc, but undertaking any sort of action on facebook is only worth it if you are going to engage with your audience. Creating a page and just leaving it there is unlikely to be of any value to you - what you need to do is not only create the page but also update it regularly and provide value to your fans.
