Hi all! Do you think it’s a good idea to start a MMO career with content writing? I know the pay isn't the best but that’s not of great importance to me at this time. I’m basically looking for the quickest, easiest way to make by first dollar online. Do you think writing content gives one a better overall understanding of how to make money online? Thanks in advance for the advice!
You may get lots of freelance work online as per your standard by the appropriate bidding....Best of luck..
Well, there is a huge demand for content writing, so you're bound to be able to get a few dollars, but if you want to learn about making money online then it probably isn't the best way, and you wont get paid much. If you start a blog, that could really work for you. It'd give you the experience of owning a website, you can put adverts on there to make money, and you can still get writing experience. Content writing is, however, a great way to get money if you're good at it. Gupitishika, you can charge anything, it just depends on the quality of your writing. There are some people that will charge up to one hundred dollars, maybe more, for a single article, but then there are some services offering 500 word articles for less than four dollars. How they make a living is beyong me, but they do somehow...
I think you have made the right decision. Starting your MMO career by providing article writing service is a good way to make sure the money keep coming in while in the same time you still be able to do other things that you intend to achieve in the long term.
Anyone can write an article, and the internet is probably the hardest place in the world to make money because you are competing with so many other people across the entire world. Its not a good way. If you want to make quick money online, then you are not being realistic.
There is a huge demand in content writing right now and almost everywhere people are looking for writers. Although the competition is very high, if you have a passion on it, just give it a try. With a bit of luck, who knows you will end up well.
Like everyone else has said, content writing is a highly competitive market, but if you are a good writer and can keep your clients happy, it can give you quite a good income. Before you start trying to earn money online, though, you should make sure that you know how to market yourself because if you don't know how to properly market yourself, you won't be able to find any clients! Good luck! From one content writer to potentially another, this is a great job
Content Writing is essential for SEO & SEM! purposes you can attain unlimited benefits by posting your articles in different article submissions directories!
As mentioned by others here, writing content is a great way to pay the bills and pay for domains, hosting, etc when you're first starting out. Another advantage is that you get access to information that you otherwise would not have. For instance, in the past when I was writing content, I'd be hired by very successful webmasters and by studying their orders, keyword requests, and websites, it slowly opened my eyes and gave me a better understanding of how the whole game works.
As everyone has already said content writing is an easy and cheaper way to start, plus great content sells. If you are determined and want to learn writing for online then go for it.
The trick is to know yourself. If you KNOW you are a better writer than some bastard who uses loose in place of lose, you can make a killing on the Internet. I could make $500 a day if I wasn't so damn lazy and didn't have 4 kids and a wife bothering me all the time. If you can form a sentence that may possibly appeal to a normal human being and have some concept of spelling, you already have an advantage over about 70% of the jackasses who write "web content" for bidding sites. I'm making $20 for 450 word reviews along with a couple other similar gigs with no end in site. In my spare time, I recreate what I'm doing for these clients but on my own websites. Check www.onlinewritingjobs.net for a lot of opportunities. Some of them suck but many are viable for paying rent.
Definitly go for it: writing articles isn't building a business but it will pay the bills and there seems to be a lot of demand around at the moment. Its a good way to pay expenses while you learn the business: which will probably take longer than you think. I wrote about the differences between working at home and building a business here
Yes, content writing is an easy way to break in to making your first dollar if writing is your passion and you're good at research. There is no shortage of contracts out there. At the start you many be only to charge $3 per article to $7.50 per article, but soon your work will be known, and if you are good at it and get work done on time you'll get repeat biz and people coming to you with projects. Then you can start naming your own price. It may only take two or three months to get to that point, if you have a good portfolio in Elance. One of the nice things about a freelance writing career is that you don't even need to have a website to start, or a big, fancy portfolio. You just need to have a willingness to scan Craigslist, DigitalPoint or Elance for jobs and be willing to keep costs low until you've built up a good reputation. By the way, I am just a the point where I am going to start developing blogs and taking on enough clientele that I will be looking for good writers to do the content for me, so I would be happy to keep track of your info and perhaps we can negotiate some steady work at a fair price. the most profitable topic on the internet is money making tips if you are good at that you will be smiling your way to the bank every week. post your jobs on free listing sites like dp for a start

Writing for your own site is a good idea, writing for others only brings in small paychecks unless you have a level of 'fame'. I change ₤50 per article (800 words) and ₤25 for a re-writes of an existing article. if I was going to pay for articles I doubt I would go over $10 per, and I would probably only pay for research and the article outline.
