I write all my own content I distribute it to many sites, forums and social media. I have targetted keywords and all my head tags are optimized on every page People say content is key and I get decent traffic but nothing that is that impressive for my site that is 3 years old compared to my competition What am i doing wrong ? my site is fighting-mma dot com If content is key I should be doing ok but I dont seem to be. I have always believed that if I put out regualar original content my site will do well, but i dont think that is the case
i dont understand ur question..ur already ranking number 6th on a big keyword.. so where is the problem :s
yes i rank well for my keywords but i thought i would be much farther along than i am i see these blog sites that have no new content pass me in the rankings and they have not been around as long as I have I try to do everything right but my site does not seem to be getting the exposure that other sites do that put in less effort
How much is the traffic wise difference in your and your competitor's site? May be they use the ads to boost there traffic.
other sites are getting 2 to 4 times more traffic than me and they have no original content and don't seem to put the time in for SEO tags they seem to be either WP skins and have more links. I do try to link trade or post my pages in media sites or bookmark sites
no because the whole field has evolved since u started? just because ur site is old doesnt necessarily mean ull always stay on top..i understand ur point.. but unfortunately thats how life works.. online or offline.. u do everything right.. and soon enough a small new thing comes and gets ahead of u.. and ur left thinking wtf.. but the same will happen with them.. and the ones after.. now u can give up the race.. or u can keep trying.. and the fact is.. it will only get harder.. cuz everything will keep getting more saturated.. so i would say u have the advantage over most new sites.. so keep up ur efforts... and then if u decide u cnt be bothered with the competition anymore sell it.. im sure ull find some people wholl pay u decent money
Content is not all the things,there are many more things that you must be knowing like- design, website structure, keywords competition etc..
my site is something i want to grow and not sell, itis very discouraging but I guess i have to find new ways to keep up and my site has a good design, structure and good keyword competition so i guess the the answer is that content is not key
Content is not the only thing you need. you also need a good linking building plan and have backlinks from sites which are related to yours
Agree with wholesaleforums, you need to get some quality backlinks. If your willing to pay I recommend checking http://www.text-link-ads.com/. You need to get your PR up, that should help you pass you competition a bit. By the way, read the quotation in my signature. Basically don't give up man .
