Hey everyone, I see that lately Clickbank had some serious FTC encounters that lead to drastic measures (I'll talk on the subject some other time). From cb-analytics you can clearly see that total gravity has dropped almost 30% if not more after August 1 which was the deadline for all CB vendors to change their websites according to the new CB rules. Let me hear your thoughts on this as I'm considering on other affiliate platforms as well...and what have u used and liked. Thanks Alex
Yes, I've noticed the cb-analytics graph since August 1 and know that CB as a whole has been "cleaning up" its marketplace. Correspondingly, my sales also seem to have hit a rough patch (to put it mildly) since around that time. Initially I chalked it up to the vagaries of summer, but lately, I've been seeing consistently "iffy" results from my CB promotions. I'm plugging on, nonetheless. Willing to give it till the end of the year to take a final call.
Who gives a shit if 95% of their slate/sales pages got axed or modified - GOOD! If you're running or promoting a legit business on CB you are in a GREAT position. If you're worried that you won't be able to push scammy 'make monies' products then this was a no go from the start. The FTC stuff hasn't changed much it's more of a seasonal thing (the drop) and frankly the FTC thing is a GOOD THING to happen. They (clickbank) still allow and even endorse the same shady shit just in a lil' more of a fine line. Login to your account, look at the banner right now, or any day for that matter. Most lead to scammy sales vids/mmo's with backends that lead to boiler rooms - YAY?! Only think getting chopped is over the top copy (which vendors are still just reverting once they get approved), and the fact that the whole slate is down has little to do with their rev (variable change could be as small as 'more affiliates promoting less products' or 'less MMO's converting more timeless' or in my case lately I have less affiliates but make almost double what I did with many more affiliates). I say it's a great time to pick up and run with good timeless niches as most people scratch their heads (no matter what the market condition is, there is money to be made if you're a smart marketer, changing networks won't mean squat and CB is definitely not nosediving trust me they bank extreeeeeeeemely well).
