I was so happy one time when somebody purchased a $200+ IM niche product, and then unfortunately the dude returned it like 5 weeks later.
I get a lot of "push button" 5 click setup software junk that comes into my email box. Most of these have a upsale or 2. What bs. On the other side of the coin Brad Collins uses Clickbank for his software and his products work. There are always bad apples. I personally stick to products that I have personally use. Most of them are software products that are a little pricey yet effective. Acctually without some of these tools it would take a lot of extra time and work to get the same results. For instance Brad Collins niche finder. A must have when fining keywords. There are a lot of good products and to think that they are all on clickbank is silly. Some of the better products don't even have an affiliate program.
I said earlier that there are some good products on clickbank. One of the problems a new affiliate may have are the long hoplinks. Even if you have a redirect the hoplink will show up in your browser. The way to steal some ones commission and get into a persons back office is obvious. I will not reveal it here or nowhere but they need to change the way they put together the hoplinks. It needs to be more like loging into your bank account. More secure!
